| Sustainability Living-Learning Community |

This living-learning community is coming in the Fall of 2010.
Join a diverse community seeking to embrace sustainability on a new level. Through the exploration of our new sustainability curriculum and exposure to creative minds in and out of the classroom, you can complement your quest to "live green"-and get an excellent opportunity to grow and realize your own potential. You'll also earn academic credit by participating in the required Introduction to Sustainability course or another sustainability certificate course. Students of all backgrounds and majors are welcome.
Required Course:
Introduction to Sustainability or another Sustainability Certificate course
Community activities include:
- Opportunities for hands on activities on and off campus including working at Hawkeye student garden and local field trips;
- Optional participation in service learning projects, local events, campus initiatives, and planning programs to address sustainability issues;
- Exposure to career development and practical experiences;
- Participation in the Sustainability Certificate Program;
- Participation in on-campus committees, strategic initiatives, graduate school organizations, student organizations and off-campus/community organizations;
- Faculty-student collaborative connections through projects, research, and discussions.
