The University of Iowa operates two apartment complexes on the west side of campus. Hawkeye Court and Hawkeye Drive are open to University students and their immediate household. These apartments provide an affordable alternative to residence hall life, and are popular not just for students with families, but also with single students interested in a more independent lifestyle.
Hawkeye Court and Hawkeye Drive apartments are over 40 years old and will eventually be decommissioned. When considering your housing choices while attending the University of Iowa, please be aware University Apartments may not be available for the long term. We can guarantee University Apartments will be available through June 1, 2014. Phase 1 of a new apartment complex is being built by a private developer on a portion of the Hawkeye Court site. The new apartments are expected to open in August 2014. Apartment information will be updated as it becomes available.
