What is the Hillcrest
Association?
HA (or Hillcrest Association) is the
University of Iowa residence hall association that represents the Hillcrest
Residence Hall. We serve the needs of our Residents by providing numerous
educational and fun programs that they can enjoy, Additionally residents
can become members of HA and have access to our rental equipment which includes
over 900 movies, several vacuums, a DVD player, a VCR, board games, and sports
equipment. HA also purchases new items weekly so our collection keeps
growing.
If you are interested in becoming involved in student government at the
University of Iowa, HA is a great place to start. HA represents our 800
residents and over 500 HA card-carrying members in many ways including sending representatives to ARH meetings,
sending representatives to local, regional, and national conferences, and
helping each of our residents address their concerns to administrators.
How can I get more involved?
Getting more involved has never been
easier. Whether you want to just attend one HA meeting every other week
(on Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM) or if you want to become an executive board
member all you have to do is ask one of our dedicated executives (to find out
more about them go here), or you can tell us a little
bit about yourself here. If you are interested
in becoming a member of HA you can also stop by the Hillcrest Front Desk where
they will be glad to assist you.
What equipment can I check out?
All members can check out any item in our
inventory (for a complete list go here). We
currently have over three hundred DVDs, more than 50 VHS tapes, sports equipment, vacuums, a DVD
player, a VCR, and games. Membership only costs $15 for the entire year, and
can be purchased at the Hillcrest Front Desk.

Movies and other equipment has been
purchased and added to the Equipment page.
2/7/06
New movies, which were voted on last semester as well as those which
were voted on during the last HA House Meeting will be purchased
later this week. Also, any HA members who have not received
their HA cards should check their mailbox. |
