Engage with scholars.

Hitting the books isn’t the only key to college success. This community is a home for intellectual engagement with students from a variety of academic areas, sharing ideas and learning together. As an honors student you will have nearby access to the Blank Honors Center and the chance to participate in leadership and other impactful opportunities.

This community is open to Honors students. To join Honors, students must be a member of Honors at Iowa.

“Being in Honors has introduced me to many people and now friends I would have never talked to otherwise. Biochem, engineering, journalism, and even the occasional music major are all brought under one roof.”

“Because I'm from out-of-state, being a part of an Honors gave me the opportunity to connect with others like me and find friends to help my transition to Iowa. I realized I could never be lonely with so many wonderful people just outside my door.”

“Because of this community I can easily find other students who share similar interests, habits, and academic goals with me.  I am always supported by those people who have become my sincere friends.”
