University Housing & Dining at the University of Iowa is seeking a HR Assistant for Payroll to join its expanding team to provide HR support to various areas within a major unit on campus. Primary responsibility will be assisting in the preparation, reviewing and processing of HR/payroll transactions and requisitions; maintaining data in the department’s electronic timekeeping system; compliance monitoring; and leave management. Must exercise confidentiality and discretion within the areas of assignment. Requires independent judgment and decision making in the application of university and departmental policies and procedures and federal/state rules and regulations.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related human resources experience required.
