Herky C.A.R.E.S. Project

The Herky C.A.R.E.S. Project is dedicated to bringing you programs and initiatives to learn more about social justice, other cultures, service, and sustainability.  This year we are offering multiple trainings to residence hall students and now is the time to sign up for two of those!

Hate Free Zone Training (Tuesday, Nov 10th from 5-7pm in Petersen Hall) –This interactive training will help you learn more about identity, privilege, oppression, and how to address microaggressions and discrimination in the halls.  Snacks provided! RSVP: www.tinyurl.com/HateFreeZoneNov10 - Space is limited!

Safe Zone Phase I (Tuesday, Nov 17th from 6-8pm / Location TBD) – This campus-wide training program will teach you more about the LGBTQ community and how to best support our LGBTQ peers, friends, and floormates.  Pizza will be provided!  RSVP: http://bit.ly/FallSafeZone - Space is limited!

Additionally, if you are an international student you may want to come to our next International Student Social!  It will be on Thursday, Nov 12th from 7:30-9:30pm in the Petersen MPR and we will be playing cards, as well as a word game to learn about American slang.  Food, fun, and prizes will be present!
