The UI will host The Mirage, an annual drag show and night of entertainment, on Friday, December 2nd from 9pm – 1am in the 2nd Floor Ballroom of the IMU. The Mirage celebrates diversity and inclusion on campus, raises awareness for World AIDS Day, and provides education on sexual health. The event is FREE and is open to both students and community members.
The event will kick off with the Condom Casino and Infostravaganza – a chance to win great prizes, and learn from many valuable campus and community organizations. The drag portion of the evening will follow, starting with an entertaining group of amateur performers. The event will conclude with professional performances from drag queens and kings. Free rapid HIV testing will be available throughout the night. Make sure to mark your calendars—it will be an event you don’t want to miss!
This event is sponsored by Student Health & Wellness, Center for Diversity & Enrichment, University of Iowa Student Government, Center for Student Involvement and Leadership Grant Funding Program, Associated Residence Halls, and Mpowerment Iowa City.
