Your room key will open your mailbox. Residence hall mailboxes may only be used for individually addressed and stamped U.S. mail and for official campus mail. Campus mail must be properly addressed and sent by individuals or organizations authorized to use campus mail. Residents are not permitted to send personal letters or cards through campus mail. University Housing & Dining may place items in your mailbox on occasion without individual addresses.
When you receive a package, a “package slip” will be placed in your mailbox. Present your student ID and this package slip to your front desk to pick up your package.
Letters and packages will not be delivered if they are not accurately addressed to your correct name.
All letters and packages with postage due must be picked up at the specified Iowa City Post Office. Outgoing US Mail can be left at the front desk as long as it has proper postage.
