University Housing & Dining offers summer housing for conference groups and camp participants sponsored by any university department or the Center for Conferences. University Housing & Dining does not provide rooms for individuals seeking lodging in Iowa City for the summer.
Housing for conferences and camps is available from the beginning of June through the end of July only. A majority of groups return year after year—so space can be limited. Contact us about space possibilities as soon as possible in your planning process.
Cost & Questions
For more information, including questions about costs, email Carrie Kiser-Wacker, Conference Specialist, or call 319-335-3000.
University of Iowa Housing and Dining is excited to host summer camps, but we understand that it presents challenges for both parents and their children. Whether it is a specific allergy or your child's diet that concerns you, we are able to accommodate. Nutrition and allergy information is available for both market place locations online at dining.uiowa.edu, but further questions should be directed to Laura Croteau, RD, LD several weeks before the summer camp or program begins.
Participants are housed in up to ten residence halls on campus, and dining facilities are available on both the east and west campuses.
- For 2017, adult conferences will be housed in Petersen (traditional rooms on west campus) and Burge (suite-style rooms on east campus).
- Youth conferences and camps will be housed in Burge and Stanley on the east campus, and Slater and/or Hillcrest on the west campus.
- Computer labs and meeting rooms are available on a limited basis, and should be scheduled as soon as possible.

The following guidebooks have been prepared for conference attendees staying in the residence halls. It's recommended that conference sponsors make these guidebooks available to all their attendees as part of their pre-conference materials.
