Living in the residence halls might be your first experience living independently. Our contracts are legally binding documents, so please take the time to read through the terms and conditions to fully understand your rights and responsibilities.
Students with a housing contract are expected to be registered for and maintain a minimum of 7 credit hours for each semester.
Students that are not registered for the upcoming semester will have their room assignment and meal plans canceled but their contract will remain in place until registration has been verified.
New first year and transfer students arriving to campus in August must be registered by August 1, 2023.
Returning students arriving to campus in August must be registered by May 10, 2023.
All students must be registered by December 6 to maintain their current housing assignment. Students that are unable to register for spring semester by December 6 will be required to move out of their residence hall by 12pm on Saturday, December 16, 2024.
Domestic new first year and transfer students arriving to campus in August must be registered by August 1, 2024.
New international students must be registered no later than August 26, 2024.
New students that are admitted after July 15 must be registered no later than August 26, 2024.
Returning students that have a 2024-2025 housing contract, must be registered for Fall 2024 no later than May 8, 2024 in order to retain their housing assignment and meal plan.
All students must be registered by December 6 to maintain their current housing assignment. Students that are unable to register for spring semester by December 11 will be required to move out of their residence hall by 12pm on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
Log into your MYUI to check your registration and university bill. Students with registration holds are encouraged to reach out to the following offices, if applicable, as soon as possible:

Student Health: Log into MYUI, go to "Student Information/Student Life Management/Health Requirement Status" to see what you are missing. Immunization records can be sent to: email@example.com
While many students are able to successfully register by the end of fall semester, several are not able to. For those that are unable to register, we often see there is difficulty returning to campus to gather their belongings over winter break. As a result, further charges are accrued.
We will be monitoring students spring registration status over winter break. We will work to reassign you to a space on campus once your registration is verified for Spring 2024. While we will try to reassign you to your original space, we cannot guarantee your fall space, as we will have a number of new transfer students in need of spring housing.
No. Your room assignment and meal plan for Spring 2024 will be canceled if you are not registered by December 6, 2023. However, if you register for classes after this date, you will receive a new room assignment and meal plan and be held to your contract. Cancellations for registered students are subject to the Contract Cancellation Penalty. Information about our Contract Cancellation Penalty can be found here.
